Do any of these statements sound familiar to you?
You want to...
Be successful in life - personally and professionally, however you define it.
Find fulfillment, meaning, and purpose in your life and work.
Make decisions confidently and aligned with your greater vision.
But you...
..........
Lack confidence to execute your goals and dreams.
..........
Feel stuck and overwhelmed, not knowing where to begin.
..........
Over-analyze situations and can't trust yourself to commit fully.
Start and FINISH the projects you set out to do.
..........
Become sidelined by nagging self doubt, fleeting motivation, or creative burnout.
As a Creativity Catalyst Life Coach, artist, and award-winning architect with over 30 years’ experience, I’ve worked with hundreds of creatives in various fields of work on many of these same issues.

Through my own journey, and the time I’ve spent working 1:1 with my clients, I’ve identified three common problems creative professionals experience during their career:
COMMON CHALLENGE #1
Lack of confidence which slows down growth and success.
Are you an aspiring creative looking to advance your career but struggle to take the next big leap (or even know what’s next)?
Although you know you’re good at what you do, you downplay your achievements, talents, or skills and charge “floor” rates, not “ceiling” rates.
Together, we can unblock the blocks preventing you from reaching your true potential and identify what’s next, so you can feel motivated, inspired, and confident in your creative self.
I found myself insecure about what I saw as a lack of knowledge about art, art history and contemporary artists compared with other students on the course. At first, this made me feel extremely vulnerable. Yet I was unwilling to divert my interests – anime, Japanese subcultures, Korean drama, soundtracks, clothing and colour – even though it tormented my self-esteem. Instead, I embraced these things and brought them into conversation with my paintings. It turned out to be a gift because I realised that art comes from life, which is something I celebrate in my painting now.

COMMON CHALLENGE #2
Lack of energy or motivation which impedes progress & productivity.
Are you a creative professional hitting a mental, emotional, and physical wall when it comes to doing what you love? You often start strong with a surge of motivation, only to be left with unfinished projects and nagging self-doubt. If this sounds familiar, you might be experiencing creative burnout.
Procrastination and shame are often a vicious cycle which prevent us from actually getting things done.
In taking a really close (and uncomfortable) look at the underlying cause of your avoidance, together we can make a plan to combat self-doubt and perfectionism, reassess your expectations, and rekindle the love and passion you felt when you first started on your journey.
This inspiration business. [...] It’s work, just as any other occupation… and it’s not done by having one stupendous idea break in your head and then grabbing a pencil or typewriter and writing the words as fast as your fingers will go. You get ideas of course, but plenty of work goes with them.

This unique discovery is yours to make. Only you can do the work, so only you hold the power to determine what outcomes are possible. My services are designed to help you streamline your efforts to explore what path feels right for you and help you maximize favourable results.

Self-Reflection Exercise
1. WHO is the 'super' me?
Imagine yourself as the best version of YOU. What does success look and feel like to me? What are my challenges? What are my strengths? Find commonalities.
2. WHAT are the obstacles in my way?
Without judgement, observe what areas in your life are barriers for you. Include everything that comes to mind.
3. HOW am I going to overcome these obstacles?
What steps, resources, or supports are needed in the process of overcoming these obstacles? If they are outside of your control, what actions can you take to modify your outlook, expectation(s), situation(s), or timeline(s)?
Whatever you think you can do or believe you can do, begin it.
Action has magic, grace and power in it. - Goethe
COMMON CHALLENGE #3
Lack of strategic vision which keeps us stuck dreaming and not DOING.
Are you a visionary with big dreams and a variety of talents and skills? Do you struggle to know where to begin, or place unrealistic expectations on yourself during the process?
Through our work together, we can create specific and tangible targets that set you up for success and keep you forward-focused in a positive and supportive manner.
I heard [Klee] speak and he said take a line for a walk,” she once recalled to Nicholas Fox Weber, director of the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation. “And I thought, ‘I will take thread everywhere I can.’

Working with Roy put excitement back into my life! I've been stuck... creatively, uninspired, and dreading the long, cold, covid-isolated winter.
Now I'm actually looking forward to what's next with confidence, direction, and goals. Roy's non-judgemental and supportive approach was just what I needed to rediscover my passion.
